Definition

Allows prescribers to indicate that the prescription is for a 'Monitored Drug' (e.g. compound) value in the prescription message to the pharmacies

Conformance Rule: The prescriber should have the ability to set this flag when the medication is a compound.

Usage Note: Provinces may require prescribers to enter this value when a compound contains a monitored substance (e.g. narcotic) to support Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs.
